Deep Silver has announced that Square Enix will distribute Dead Island in North and South America. The game is expected to hit store shelves later this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
“Square Enix’s impressive distribution and marketing capabilities, combined with their proven success with launching top-notch AAA titles, makes them the absolute best partner for Dead Island,” said Deep Silver Chief Operating Officer Geoff Mulligan.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with their dedicated and talented team and look forward to collaborating with them in order to bring Dead Island to gamers.”
Unfortunately, there’s still no word on exactly when Dead Island is going to be released. Perhaps we’ll learn more at E3.

Didn’t think this was the kind of game they would get associated with. Dead Island is like Borderlands isn’t it? Like FPS-RPG? It would make sense then

Good for them :-D

Square Enix is really living up to their promise to focus more on western games.

I think this is no doubt a benefit of Square-Enix acquiring Eidos, it’s much easier for them now that they have a widespread western based company occupied.
