21yr Old Canadian Sues Sony For $1 Billion

Toronto law firm, McPhadden Samac Tuovi LLC, has started a proposed class action suit against Sony USA, Sony Canada, Sony Japan – in fact anything with Sony in its title. The plaintif is a 21yr old Mississauga resident, Natasha Maksimovic. Natasha is claiming in excess of $1 billion as she is suffering from “fear, anxiety (and) emotional distress” and also the costs of insurance and credit monitoring services for two years.

“If you can’t trust a huge multinational corporation like Sony to protect your private information, who can you trust?” asked Ms. Maksimovic via a press release.

I don’t know my dear, but you must be utterly terrified to be in need of $1 billion for emotional distress, I’m suprised you managed to hold a pen long enough to write your press release.

P.S. If you are reading this Ms. Maksimovic….. BOO!

  1. Ugh, why is she making a big deal? I mean I haven’t been able to play for a week or so online big deal. Gave me time to catch up on some PC gaming I’ve missed.

Giving Canadian’s a bad name with her “fear, anxiety (and) emotional distress” we have much more to worry about than Sony, I mean with oil prices going thru the roof how are we gonna play on our oil powered T.V’s and drive our snowmobiles around!?!? (This is a joke btw)

Also to answer her question, since when could you trust a multinational corporation? And is it really that difficult to go to a bank and cancel your credit card?

    • It’s water-powered T.V’s and canoes over here in British Columbia :P But I do agree that if this nonsense doesn’t stop soon, people will start to think that *all* Canadians act like this :/

  2. Loving the the Google ads is plonking “First4Lawyers” up there – Everybody click on it and try sue Sony ;)

  3. Is that 1 billion canadian dollars?

If so then its only like £4.50 right?

  4. Only in that part of the world… sueing is in their nature

    • It’s one person and this is Canada, not America we are talking about. Let’s not generalise.

  5. Opportunistic ****.

  6. Mr PSN Hacker will now find her on his list of stolen accounts and make a mental note: “scam this person on 5th May 2013”

  7. Really can’t blame her for trying… Fair play to her.
Personally I’d settle for a £20 PSN card.. Or an actual time & date for the return of PSN. Sigh..

  8. I haven’t laughed so much in a long time :)

  9. Let’s all sue Sony… *roll eyes*
