Ubisoft are branching out with the launch of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, a new division of the company to adapt its games into films and television programmes. Ubisoft already own Montreal-based visual effects house Hybride Technologies who have worked on Sin City, 300 (this is etc), Predators, Avatar, and… wait for it… Snakes on a Plane!
No projects have been announced for the new company but the recent success of the live action Assassin’s Creed: Lineage could be an indicator of things to come. Driver, Rainbow Six and Far Cry are other possible adaptations.
The recent Prince of Persia film was considered by some to be a flop even though it made $330 million at the box office as it cost over $200 million to make.

The Assassins Creed, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, Hawx etc games would make brilliant movies. Ubi own the Tom Clancy franchise, so that opens up multiple doors for them.

Any of them as long as it doesn’t have Jake Gyllenhaal.

Assassin’s Creed should be the choice, however, Splinter Cell might be the easiest game to turn into a successful movie.

Yep, AC was the first franchise to pop into my mind too :)

Well wouldn’t be surprised if Rayman was to be adapted to the big-screen as the “latest animated 3-D movie for the family”
Assassins Creed could be cool but no way it will work as a movie unless it was animated like Advent Children.

I was gonna say Rayman! But they’d have to do it as a stoner comedy.

would have to be Assassins Creed tbh :) not sure i would like a splinter cell film :/ even though i havemost of the games i didnt really like t
Far Cry is already kind of taken with Blood Diamond which is awesome :)
but i think Assassins Creed film like as brutal as Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto (Mel Gibson style) would be really good in my eyes
