There’s not many E3 conferences that have ever been so bold as to showcase a TV show, but at E3 2019 Ubisoft have broken new ground. Following the exploits of a fictional team of developers, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet looks to bring the funny side to a show about gaming.
Mythic Quest is the most popular MMO in the world, and we join the team as they’re set to release a brand new expansion entitled Raven’s Blood. Led by egotistical Creative Director Ian Grimm – brought to life by Always Sunny’s Rob McElhenney, the show has been made with the backing of the Ubisoft team who’ve leant them some inspiration along the way.
Coming from the same team behind Always Sunny in Philedelphia there’s some serious chance it might actually be funny, and will hopefully straddle the line between believability and out-right stupidity. Alongside McElhenney, the cast is set to include gaming star Ashly Burch of Life Is Strange and Horizon Zero Dawn as well as F. Murray Abraham, Imani Hakim, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, Charlotte Nicdao and Jessie Ennis.
The show is set to launch on Apple TV+, though hopefully it’ll be picked up by a different broadcaster on this side of the pond if any of us actually want to watch it.
