These days it seems we’re writing more about games that got cancelled rather than ones coming out, and this time it’s because as a trailer for Transformers: Reactivate has been leaked.
There is actual gameplay shown, so the project was quite far along and would have seen the Autobots and Decepticons team up to stop an invading force.
Splash Damage originally announced it in 2022 as a 1-4 player action game set in a future where Earth has already fallen and the Transformers are our last hope, fighting a new enemy called The Legion.
The game had been in production since 2019, but in August 2025 it was cancelled. It seems the project had undergone multiple revisions from a free-to-play shooter, eventually ending up as a single-player game with a story to play through.
The game’s toy line was still partially released.
