Xbox 360 Brink Gets A Day One Patch

Upcoming shooter Brink will be receiving a day one patch for the Xbox 360 version, no news as yet of a PS3 patch. A statement released by Bethseda’s Justin Vallejo explains the patch will enhance performance in a number of areas.

The Xbox 360 version of Brink will benefit from an automatically-applied day one update on release, which will address sporadic visual glitches at distance, texture pop-up and some minor networking issues.

Ed Stern, who spoke to TSA about the game, rather prophetically said ‘There’s no one perfect FPS’ and the game was also brought forward a week.

Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn’t see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready…

Not quite as ‘ready’ as hoped, I guess but it’s excellent news that Splash Damage are trying to make the game as good as possible from day one.

  1. Does this mean that the PS3 version suffers the same glitches and will need to be patched at some point? Or does it mean these problems were 360 only?
