New Modern Warfare Dubbed “Project Collossus”

The next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (the third) is apparently penned for an 8th of November release, according to multiple sources (collated by Eurogamer).

In addition, supermarket chain has the game down on their till system as “Call of Duty: Project Collossus” which, it appears, makes it one of the site’s sources.  Handy.

The rumours are expected to continue for a little while, the hype building only a good thing for Activision’s (and, indeed, the industry’s) biggest IP, although the publisher’s financial results conference call kicks off at half nine tonight.

Project Collossus, or whatever it’s called, will be going up against EA’s Battlefield 3.

  1. Unless my local supermarket is selling it for, say £25 I’m not getting this one, this time. Same engine as MW I suspect so that’s at least, 4 years old?

  2. Will be definetly sticking to Battlefield 3. No interest in the same old COD every year.

  3. Hopefully the multiplayer will live up to MW2, Blops’ multiplayer was awful.

  4. After seeing the BF3 trailer cod will be left.

  5. i think it sounds like a cool name better than call of duty then a number but i agree it is short but its action packed i knnow the story suffers in places but people come on here and say cod is dead long live battlefield but the sme people will play for days its just popular to hate call of duty i love call of duty but waw was pants blck ops was very average flaws inevery game single player and online play has these but its the game i play the most its just fun to play
