Namco Wants More From Enslaved

Enslaved hit just the right spot for a lot of gamers. Unfortunately, it wasn’t met with resounding retail success, partially due to its crowded launch window. But that’s not stopping Namco from pushing this title further down the line. While speaking to Eurogamer, Namco’s UK marketing manager, Lee Kirton, said the following.

“We’re very much behind it. We’ve got plans as to where we want to take Enslaved, we want to keep on pushing… maybe to a market that hasn’t experienced it yet.”

The bit about taking it to a market it hasn’t been to yet is very interesting. Could he be talking about the PC? Or maybe even the NGP? For those of you that were big fans of the first (like me), Mr. Kirton also brought a tiny glimmer of hope. When asked about the possibility of a sequel, he responded with, “we currently have no plans for an Enslaved sequel. However, we are still looking at it.”

I’ll take it.

  1. Please Namco do it now! I want to be Enslaved from Trip once more

  2. making a sequel now could be a bit of a problem, at least it will if they want andy serkis involved again.
he’s going to be busy for a couple of years doing the two hobbit movies.
not only is he playing gollum, motion capture and all, but he’s also second unit director, so he’s gonna be busy for quite a while yet.
i don’t see how he could find the time for reprising his role as monkey.

they could recast monkey, but that could prove an unpopular decision.

    • This could indeed be a problem.

      • Quite possible that this is the reason they haven’t made a decision yet, most likely wanting to expand the originals audience before starting a sequel!

  3. Just finished the game a few days ago and YES I WANT MORE ENSLAVED!!!!

  4. Not tried it, but it looks like one I could enjoy with the wife and kids on a weekend?!

  5. Enslaved was lovely fun. Their DLC had storming reviews and it would be great to see the sales reflect what I feel that they deserve.

I’m not completely sure how well it would perform outside of the home consoles only because it feels almost perfectly made for them but a PC version could work well (on the likes of Steam) if migrating its code wasn’t too much of a task.

  6. Must…..finish…..first game! Too many new releases!

  7. was a great game love the acting.

  8. im stuck on it :( and the camera angle is making me die all the time, doubt ill ever complete it even though it wasnt that bad to play and the visuals were fantastic

  9. Why the game is utter shite.
