  1. As with all the previous CoDs, I’m really looking forward to the single player campaign! :)

  2. Wasn’t expecting that in a COD trailer, there’s my office, at 0.16 & 0.17. Also the Old Scotland Yard in case you were wondering. Features in NFS Shift too. Right, back to work.

  3. Meh. Not much to say about this. Looks like the rest of them. Will not be getting.

  4. Can’t f**king wait! It looks amazing.

  5. The trailer has already got 2000 dislikes on YouTube. People are ridiculous, if you are one of them who hates it just because it bears the name MW, sit in the corner and think about what you have done. Back in reality, it is looking very slick and (finally!) much prettier graphically. I like the use of more varied settings as well than your standard dusty level, snowy level, city level. Not enough to make a firm decision yet, but interest is piqued.

    • still the trailer wasn’t fantastic, which is why people might dislike it?

    • It’s still far behind the likes of KZ3, Crysis 2 and already BF3 though. It may look better than say Blops but it’s really beginning to show its age.

    • i don’t think it’s that they don’t like modern warfare… it’s that they don’t like COD. ^_^

    • Most of it was cutscenes or set pieces though. I’m yet to be convinced

    • I doubt it had anything to do with the trailer, it was because it contains the words “Duty” and “Call” in most cases I’d wager. I just think the random hatred for the series is a bit silly really, sure it isn’t perfect, but as shooters go all these FPS games are /all/ fairly similar tbh.

  6. looks like the same old cod to me

  7. looks good, i think ill buy it for the story but thats it, no matter how good this series has been it has been ruined by people on multiplayer, ill be buying battlefield 3 for the multiplayer this year

  8. Germany, France and England?

This will spark a controversy, especially in Germany…

  9. So the only reason this isn’t set in Afghanistan or Iraq is because they don’t have E’s in their name?

  10. Ugh, major meh.

I want to be immersed in my combat shooters, not shaking my head in disappointment as they bounce from one ridiculously unfeasible plot twist to the next. The completely unbelievable story was one the biggest disappointments with MW2 and this looks to only make things worse.

Admittedly the use of iconic European landmarks is slightly compelling, but we I pause and look closer I just see the same close quarter, tiny, scripted, linear, OTT set pieces seen in MW2.

Aside from all that, I’d love to see what kind of lunacy the script has to justify things like beached warships in Manhattan harbour, beached super carriers, SSNs surfacing to fire missiles so close to land, in fact, SSNs surfacing anywhere, let alone to fire missiles. I don’t expect military perfection in a video game, but at least something that looks tactically viable would be nice.

This is the thing that BFS appears to offer (and MoH did too most of the time), tactical credibility. I tried to overlook it for MW1/2 and it just frustrated me – this looks worse.
