Whilst the PSP Remaster series has captured the interest of many, it might not support the one feature that quite a few gamers will want: Trophy support.
This news comes via PlayStation-CS Blog, who contacted SCEJ to ask about trophy support.
The answer was a “no”. If this is true will it alter your decision to purchase anything from the PSP Remaster Series? If indeed it actually makes the trip over here…

doesn’t bother me, the prospect of playing some of the better psp games on my big tv with upgraded graphics, and most importantly for me a far better controller?
it’ll take more than a lack of trophies to put me off.
what i would like to see is support for the second stick in these upgraded version, for camera control in 3d games mostly.
the biggest concern i’d have is how much will they cost and would i need to buy two copies to play it on the psp as well? they do mention cross compatible saves after all.

Boo Hiss. I heard it was due to the chance of hacking trophies due to the ability to transfer saves between PSP and PS3. But even so, they should have included trophies no matter what. That was their promise wasn’t it? That all games past 2009 or something would have trophy support? I play games because I enjoy them but when it comes to console games, unless it’s FIFA, I just play to complete the trophies as they’re there to show people what you’ve done. I just bought Final Fantasy VI Advance and Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town instead of even thinking about buying a 3DS or DS even because the games are nice on the go but they don’t have the competitive factor you get with console games or online stats.
I feel a glowing red hot poker on my bum with the words trophy hunter. Meh.

Not bothered about about trophies at all. As long as a game is good, I’m not fussed about showing of my accomplishments! I would have still bought a PS3 if it had no trophies, and I’d continue to own one if the went away. I’m a gamer, and I like games!

Can’t they support trophies for those that do not have a psp-save for those games? That if i select “new game” i will have trophy support ?
