Whilst the PSP Remaster series has captured the interest of many, it might not support the one feature that quite a few gamers will want: Trophy support.
This news comes via PlayStation-CS Blog, who contacted SCEJ to ask about trophy support.
The answer was a “no”. If this is true will it alter your decision to purchase anything from the PSP Remaster Series? If indeed it actually makes the trip over here…

I don’t care, I play a game to play it not to earn some little piece of nothing that say’s ‘trophy for completing Act 1’ erm thanks, it wasn’t hard to be honest.
I’ll be honest, the only game I want from this is Peace Walker just so I don’t have to suffer through the PSP’s crappy controls. Trophies or not, I’m getting it. If is’s announce that is.

Stupid move by Sony if so, I imagine alot of the HD Collections sold as much as they did exactly because they offered loads of trophies for a quick buck, doing the opposite here will hurt sales.

I probably won’t bother with them. In the past I have bought stuff without trophy support with the intention to play them and I do but only for a short period after purchase and just a quick playthrough sometimes not even all the way through.
Sounds stupid and sad but when it comes down to picking a game I want to play off the shelf or off my HDD I don’t really bother with the ones without trophies.

It would be really bad of them if they don’t include trophies whilst doing the other updates. However, trophies won’t prevent me from buying any game. It’ll ultimately depend on the game, but there are a few PSP titles I would’ve picked up if it wasn’t for the analogue issue. If they put that right in the PS3 versions i’d have a serious look at them.

The only reason I could see why they wouldn’t include trophies is to keep it 100% PSP compatible to share the game saves between both systems. But what about the “bonus content” then? I really hope this is just a rumour or translation error, and they do include trophies in the remakes. I’m sure that would also be good for their sales.

i think it is stupid that people “require” trophies to play a game. I prefer games without trophies and know that i know these will be trophy free i am more interested.
also as someone else said no trophies keeps the save file compatible with the PSP version.
