Namco Bandai have released a new trailer for Ace Combat Assault Horizon and it’s looking rather excellent. Players will ‘dodge skyscrapers’ and ‘turn their enemies into fiery supersonic debris’.
The title is scheduled to land on October 14th 2011 and certain retailers will be offering a pre-order bonus pack of the game in a Steel-book case, the soundtrack on CD, a signed notebook and extra DLC – all for the same price as the regular game.

This looks SO good, mainly because of the variety of aircraft you can fly, but also the Story sounds fantastic. The HAWX games have been so disappointing simply due to the views they force you to use, AH looks like it’s going to be a true flight combat sim game!
Have they said which retailers have the special editions?
sssssssaaaaaaad!
sim? lol

You know what I mean :P It’s not going to be like the Top Gun arcade game on the Store.

Yes! A chance to live out my Top Gun fantasies! No, the other ones.
Can’t decide whether ‘dodging skyscrapers’ is the correct term – makes it sound like skyscrapers are jumping out in front of you. I do so hate it when they do that.

I hope you don’t have to have that really close cinematic view every time you are in a dogfight. Hopefully that’s optional and you can have just the normal view behind the aircraft like on the previous games.

I really want them to do an Ace Combat collection for PS3 with all 3 PS2 games in HD. pleeeeeeeeeease namco!!

I’m not a huge fan of flying games but this does look good and it looks like they’ve expanded on the gameplay with CoD type sequences.
And what happened Greg’s Japan figures post? I went to post a comment but it says “comments closed”.
