As promised, we’ve got a live stream from Microsoft for their E3 press event. What can you expect to see? Well, that’s a closely guarded secret but we’d expect some word of Star Wars Kinect, Forza 4 and Gears of War 3. We’re also hoping for news of some console exclusives for the end of this year.

My opinion of Kinect has risen, but still…
Pretty much only Ryse really interested me as a good use of Kinect. Star Wars might be good, but probably not great.
That Disneyland thing made me flinch though.

some good stuff, that kinect lab, and, uhm, speach in mass effect, but what i really took from this is they’ve invented a new genre for kinect, the wave em up.
as for voice control, why do you need kinect for that?

If they painted Kinect purple and made it shower players with rainbows it still wouldn’t be awesome. They have either seen something everyone else hasn’t or they have seriously and epically misjudged their userbase.

Found the whole thing really underwhelming , like others have said it was all about Kinect and being able to use voice controls , nothing groundbreaking about that . Endwar did that really well 3 years ago and I didnt need to shell out £80 quid .

Tomb Raider looks great and i was surprised to find i enjoyed the CoD preview too. Minecraft is a plus and i particularly liked the Fun Labs touch-drawing as an effect but i do wonder how precisely you can draw with it. Quite a few on-rails games there, Fable, Disney,Star Wars, Sesame St, even the golf and football seemed very assisted.
Overall not too shabby though, looking forward to the rest of the press conf.’s now.
