Following on from the announcement that the ICO/SotC collection will be released in September, some screenshots have turned up on GamesPress (hence the helpfully large ‘GP’ stamped all over the place).
I’ve said it before, and no doubt I’ll be saying it another three or four hundred times, I simply cannot wait to play the remastered versions of these classic games.
Time to go and mark the days left on my calendar…

So without wanting to entirely typecast these games, what genre would they loosely fall into (hack & slash, RPG etc)?
I know that I am probably doing them a huge disservice by lumping them into a general category as I get the impression that they defy the traditional ‘genres’, but I have never played either of them & have no idea what to expect & whether to grasp with both arms or avoid like the plague!

Having only played Shadow of The Colossus, I’d say it’s best desribed as an action-adventure game with emphasis on the adventure, and it’s also got some puzzle-elements in there too.
Smallville2106
I’ve never played these games so I am looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into them both.

All I wanna know is, does ICO HD have watermelons?

Even though I have the originals I cannot wait.

Awesome! What a massive difference some proper AA makes. Well worth the money just for the visual upgrade, and don’t get me started on the trophies :)
