Hailed as one of the founders of its genre, 30 years ago tabletop role-playing game Wizardry made its transition from character sheets and fistfuls of dice to the Apple II. Since then the series has continued to expand thanks to numerous sequels and spin-offs, garnering a substantial die-hard fan base. With the help of Japanese MMO publisher Gamepot, Wizardry is set return this year as Wizardry Online, and will be available worldwide.
The game will be free-to-play, though like the majority of MMOs we suspect there will be numerous premium options, especially with developers Headlock promising regular content updates.
