It has now been confirmed that the PSN price for the Mortal Kombat DLC is incorrect. When it appeared on the UK store this week the costume pack was almost double the price of the US pack, leading to lots of angry shouting. Also a problem was the missing Skarlet DLC that was promised.
A statement by Warner Bros. reads as follows:
“Unfortunately, due to some technical issues, the Mortal Kombat Skarlet DLC will not be available to PSN users in Europe until next week. We apologise for any inconvenience but assure fans that Skarlet and her fatalities are on the way.
To clarify the posted price of the Classic Skins pack on PSN is incorrect and is currently being rectified to £3.19 for UK users and €3.99 for European users.
All users will have access to the compatibility pack and free classic skins – Cyrax and Sektor – once Skarlet is available.”

I sometimes wonder if these prices are actually correct, but they just think they’ll wait and see what the reaction is and whether they can get away with it. Then if people shout loudly enough, they’ll drop the price.
I do wish EA would drop the price of the vehicle packs for Burnout Paradise, though. They were a bit extortionate when the game was new – now three years later, they’re the same price and a complete rip-off. To buy all the packs costs more than the game!

Yeah I always wanted the Burnout Paradise packs – especially the upgrade to Party mode. But as you say, the packs are more expensive than the game and it is something I hoped for when I joined PS+ almost a year ago now.

Agreed! Bordlerlands DLC costs more than the GOTY edition!

I agree – wasn’t this the same with another game last week (which was cheaper on Steam and XBL).
I think they could make a lot more money if DLC was dropped in price 12-18 months after release.
