EA’s Summer Showcase is this week – we’re hearing bits and bats about what the publisher is going to show off but nothing concrete other than the rather obvious notion that there’ll be some EA Partners stuff.
We’re hoping for a teaser for Respawn’s apparently sci-fi shooter, a release date for the Battlefield beta and even something related to the much-rumoured Syndicate reboot.
EA’s PR team (via VG247) is on the offence, anyway – Senior Events and Media Manager Wendy Spander starting proceedings with a Tweet suggesting there are “big announcements ahead!” – hardly unexpected comments, really.
What we’ll probably get, though, is confirmation of Crysis for PS3 and 360.
Any thoughts? Mirror’s Edge 2? Road Rash…?

Lol You could invert the same sentence and it would still be applicable. For what it’s worth I may not like COD but I wouldn’t say oh good god no don’t make another one, I just won’t buy it, which was my point. If you prefer one type of game over another, then don’t buy it, but don’t take the opinion that it should never be made. How does your sarcasm stand up to that?

I would really like to have a Mirror’s Edge 2 announcement (ideally have some gameplay to show too), or a reveal for Respawn’s game.
If it’s the announcement of Crysis for PS3/360, I’ll be disappointed.

I really don’t think we’ll be seeing Mirrors Edge 2 gameplay if EA decide to announce it, mostly because DICE are working almost exclusively on Battlefield 3. Still, in a tour of their studio in Stockholm a while back, they did imply that they were working on some secret projects, so I suppose it’s always a possibility.
