Grand Theft Auto IV. Great game, ran like treacle wrapped in sludge being passed through a slow-motion camera. Low-res, too, especially on PS3.
However, PC owners might want to take a look at iCEnhancer – because it turns Rockstar’s open world auto-em-up into something that looks out of this world.
‘Old’ footage, apparently. Nico only knows what new footage would look like.
Glorious.
Via DeadEndThrills, who seem to specialise in this kind of thing.

Oooooh, shall have to install that

Very impressive.
Now, if I could only afford a gaming rig!

Although it’s a lot more than zero… you can get a massively more powerful than consoles gaming PC for around £500

As long as you have an income, you can afford a gaming rig. You won’t have to cut corners if you plan out your design in advance, buy a part at a time when you can afford it. Took me 6 months, but it was an even wiser investment than my car heh.

Looks awesome, shame I only own it on ps3. makes me think, why didnt it look this good in the first place?

I disagree. I think it looked sub-par on consoles because it was cross platform. The developers contractually have to make each version identical and because the ps3 and 360 aren’t as powerful in the same areas they restrict the overall game.

Not that doesn’t look absolutely amazing but the problem with GTAIV wasn’t that it didn’t look good, even if it was low res on PS3 which actually I didn’t notice. The problem was that the mechanics were a bit slap dash.

Indeed, I thought it looked rather good at the time running on PS3. [certainly a lot smoother than in the video above]
skibadee
looks great more interested in the next GTA.
fattyuk
Looking good!
Charmed_Fanatic
WTF!?! That is super amazing, like driving through the actual place!
KeRaSh
Looks very nice, especially the wet streets. The video itself however was a pain to watch with all the lag and camera rotation.

Crysis 2, eat your heart out.
Akuar
Looks sick, especially towards the end with the nigthtime-effects.
