First Burnout Crash Screens Revealed

EA has revealed the first screens for downloadable title, Burnout Crash, and it doesn’t really look how I had envisioned! The aim of the game is to crash your vehicle and cause as much carnage as possible.

The good news is the game will support Autolog, meaning you can compete against your friends in a ‘friendly’ way…

The Xbox 360 version of the game will also have Kinect support, allowing two teams to compete against each other using gesture based controls.

  1. Right. Er.

    • My thoughts exactly. What are they thinking.

  2. that’s not really how i was hoping it would look :(
    hopefully it will play better.

  3. Looks like a top down version of yhe Showtime road rules off of Paradise?

    Which should be fun.

    • It sounds more like a top down version of Burnout: Takedown’s crash mode, which was very good fun.

  4. They’ve gone for the arcade style, then? Consider me intrigued.

  5. Looks dreadful, but I lost all hope of this being what I (and probably most people) had hoped for a while back when that ESRB description came out, so it’s not too much of a shock.

If there’s a demo i might still give it a go however, just in case it’s fun.

  6. I love burnout and everything about it, one of my fave franchises of all time

But this is not a Burnout title or anything that I’d want from a Burnout title, its just an EA product to cash in on the name.

However saying that, the gameplay might be great, in a Joe Danger kind of way & I’m willing to sit on the fence and give it the benefit of the doubt

    • I agree with everything you’ve said, not since Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge 2 on the Amiga have I enjoyed a racing game so much. From Takedown and Revenge, to Paradise. It’s a wonderful series and I’m staggered that EA see fit to have Criterion not working on what they do outstandingly well

  7. I just want my real Burnout sequel :(

  8. You missed that it has Kinect support :-p

  9. It could be fun, but it’s not Burnout at all.

    • Just like Burnout Paradise – you change the wrapping, you remove the fun.

  10. lol what the hell?!
