Quite why it has fallen to Insomniac to deliver news on PSN Pass rather than Sony is anyone’s guess, but community manager James Stevenson has once again spoken out about the still all-too-vague new service.
“PSN Pass will be system level,” he said this morning on the developer’s official forums, “and will allow dual-login and any user on the system to play online.”
At first that sounds great – it looks like once activated multiple accounts on the same console wi’ll be able to play online – but surely it’s per PSN user too – what happens if you want to take the game around to a mate’s house?
Once again, this drip-feeding of information raises more questions than answers – Sony really, really need to get this Pass system up on the official channels (like the EU Blog) so we can all find out what’s going on…

The pass work….
For the account that downloaded it. That account MUST remain on the PS3 for anyother of the attached accounts to use it.
You cannot add your account to another PS3, download the file and then expect 2 consoles with your account on to use same pass at the same time.

It has finally arrived. PC DRM.*screams*T_T
While this does have more advantages,it can be a massive problem if the system dies. I would rather it be tied to one account then a system as it is easier to recover then on a dead console and phoning up to get Sony to remove the accounts from the dead console which they hate doing.(from what i have heard)
If i see codes on the back of games that need to be entered in for them to work. I will not be happy. And console games start to require a internet connection in order to play them regardless of modes, i may turn into the hulk.

I feel sorry for insomniac. It seems Sony is willing to throw them under the bus for this. Sony obviously didn’t want this leaked yet, but it’s not insomniacs job to explain this, they aren’t even a 1st party dev anymore. insomniac has always produced good games, and they genuinely seem to care about their fans, but the lack of response from Sony to defendand explain their own program is seriously disturbing. I wonder if they’d be this silent if it was U3 and naughty dog under the gun instead of a dev who’s now multi-platform.
