Speaking to Gameplanet, Elder Scrolls V producer Craig Lafferty confirmed that Bethesda won’t be releasing a demo for Skyrim. Due to the sheer depth of the game, its numerous progressive mechanics and free-roam content, Bethesda explains that there is no feasible way to convey the essence of Skyrim via a standalone section.
Can’t wait until November to get your Elder Scrolls fix? Fear not, Bethesda have plans to release a 5th anniversary edition of the previous series instalment, Oblivion which will include both expansions. Be sure to check out written Skyrim preview too.

I’m interested to know if they’ll be including a Hardcore Mode in this game, like there was in Fallout: New Vegas. Since we haven’t heard anything about it I doubt there will be, but I think it would be a fantastic option to have. It’d give the many pubs and taverns much more justification for being there for a start.
