Whoelse do we have left to take on Meet the Staff? Well, Simon of course! I’ve seen a few of you asking who he is when you see his name above a news article, so it’s time for him to reveal more than you need to know, for all of our pleasure!
Age: 19
Birthplace: England
Living now: England
Gamerscore/Trophy Level: Level 11
Random fact about yourself: I was once bitten by an ostrich.
Q: Where did you start off with gaming and was it a good start?
A: Around when I was five or six on Christmas Day, I sat on the living room floor in my house playing TOCA on the first PlayStation with my Dad on a 15 inch portable tele. Despite crashing into the barriers every corner, and having no memory card to save my progress when I did manage to complete a race, I never looked back.
Q: What other interests do you have, aside from gaming?
A: I have a keen interest in politics and current events. I find both topics fascinating and also believe it’s important to stay tuned to what’s happening around the world. I’m also very passionate about people taking advantage of their right to vote.
Now to start the question by discussing politics probably gives the impression that I’m heading to a career as a politician. In actual fact I’m studying a marketing degree, which happens to be another keen interest of mine.
I also love Formula 1. I follow every Grand Prix weekend on the TV, and keep up with the latest developments between races. In fact I watch quite a lot of television, perhaps too much for my own good. Top Gear for instance is another favourite programme of mine.
Q: Being a student, you must have a few embarrassing tales… if you can remember them?
Q: Oh, I’ve went and spoiled this question by saying you’re a student. Do you do anything else for a living?
Q: I enjoy making terrible puns about your “whoelse” handle. Whoelse has done this and what other nicknames do you have?
Q: Whoelse (I’m so sorry, kitten) in your family plays games?
-1 cat. To answer your question, no one really. I guess I wasn’t born into a family of gamers. As families go, mine isn’t very big. I don’t have any siblings and my Mum has never picked up a controller in her life. However, my Dad has a small interest that goes up and down now and again. The furthest he has got is having a go of split-screen multiplayer in a game such as Gran Turismo 5, but that’s about as adventurous as he will ever go.
Q: How did you find TSA in the first place?
The wonderful world of N4G probably. I’ve written for a few websites before, and TheSixthAxis has always been the number one PlayStation, and then gaming community website. So it’s a great feeling to finally be writing for them. My new target? News of the World… oh*.
Q: What is your favourite game and why?
Well this choice is based on the time I have put into playing the game, and that’s GTA: Vice City. Back when I was younger and had little idea on any other games I could buy, I spent hundreds of hours driving around the streets of Vice City, listening to the sound of the 80s. Everything about it from the soundtrack to the freedom to do “anything” just made it a great game to play.
Q: Anything you’d like to say to the readers? Perhaps introduce yourself so they don’t get confused when asking”Who else knows who WhoElse is?”
Why would I want to say anything to them guys? Ok, please follow me on Twitter @reallywhoelse. I’m allowed to do that right? [Of course not – Blair] It’ll give them the chance to have some fun with that username. At least until I find the guy who stole my proper username and is just “surfing around” for four years.
Really, whoelse could we have chosen this week? We’ve killed several kittens during this** and for that we’re sorry… but it’s just too fun! Well, that’s Simon for you… now go and speak about him amongst yourself in the comments below. He can’t see them, I promise.***
*Simon would like to add that he would never work for such of a paper, so don’t send him any hate mail!
**No kittens were harmed in the making of this article, nor do we intend to harm any kittens in the future. Kittens are nice.
***Simon may actually be able to see them, providing he can connect to the internet and come on TSA.****
****I like asterisks. They look like stars and stars are nice.
Tuffcub
KITTEH DISAPPROVES OF THIS.
Spotter5
I’m also called Simon *__*
DirtyHabit

Whoelse will make a pun on Whoelse’s name? Also Whoelse has recently noticed the decline in the kitten population? Nice to meet you Whoelse. Whoelse would interview you and not make a lot of puns about your name? Whoelse but blair. Did i just hear several kittens explode? Did you insult the ostrich as i heard that they hate being insulted?:p I wonder how many kittens i killed today by making whoelse puns? Whoelse makes puns except Blair.>:)
Jas-n
Who else would make too many whoelse puns… in this case, not whoelse
Amphlett
The Lone Steven – If you’re going to make those puns then at least warn beforehand so that I can get a good stock warmed up ready for kitten curry. ;-) Ahhh, so many cats, too few recipes.

Hi i’m 8, gaming since birth. Nice to meet u, to meet u nice.
bunimomike
Legally, I’m not allowed anywhere near you. Good day, sir.
Crazy_Del
lol!
cam the man
Nice to meet you Whoelse.
I enjoyed the TOCA games, just the good old touring cars and maybe a support class or two. The only games since that have concentrated on a single class (that I can think of at the mo) is the Superstars V8 Racing series.
Amphlett
How about the ‘F1’ series of games?
cam the man
True, but I was thinking more in the lines of production-based rather than open-wheel racing. Even NASCAR 2010 game had four classes.
e8
mario kart!
cam the man
Not exactly a ‘real’ racing game.
e8
blasphemy. (also a double negaive.)
MadJunkBoy
nice to meet you whoelse=)
ain’t ostriches nice?? :P u actually gave him the finger…? and what did he to deserve that!?? =)
whoelse
Lol I didn’t actually give him the finger. My little 5 year old (or there about’s) self were a sweet little child and would never use such derogatory sign language.
TSBonyman
Aha – the mystery is revealed at last as we learn whoelse works for TSA..
