New Teaser For Transformers Universe

Jagex, acclaimed developer of the popular MMO Runescape, has launched another teaser for its upcoming project, Transformers Universe. Like the first trailer there isn’t a lot to go on; though it’s clear that the browser-based MMO will mimic the current Transformers continuity in terms of aesthetic, we still don’t have any in-game footage.

What we do know, as touched upon earlier, is that TU will run via the web browser. Though it won’t be packing as much power as other recent MMOs such as Rift, browser-based MMOs are by far the easiest for players to access and with the Jagex pedigree behind it, Transformers Universe could take the net by storm.

Hopefully the Cambridge-based developer will start showing more of the game as we begin to lead into 2012.

  1. It’s actually called Trans Formers? :S

    • It’s about guys who used to be girls who used to be guys.

  2. i can’t wait to see more of this one.

  3. I got my brother to make me a Runescape account once, I thought it was really boring though. Still, there’s always hope. Transformers make everything better, after all.

  4. Whilst on the subject of MMOs. DC Universe online, any PS3 gamers play this? I’ve never played an MMO before but I’ve recently been really tempted by this one (think its all the Arkhem City footage, etc flying around at the moment)

  5. Sounds like it’s going to be a complete flop to me, look at how DC Universe went, which is almost dead now.
