Warner Bros. have just announced that Batman: Arkham City will be playable in both stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC (assuming you’re equipped with NVIDIA 3D Vision for the latter, mind).
“Gamers on Xbox 360 and PS3 can delve deep into Arkham City’s breathtaking environments and immersive gameplay in stereoscopic 3D when playing on any 3D HDTV and wearing active shutter glasses that are compatible with the television,” says the oddly specific press release.
“Fans with HDTVs can enjoy Batman: Arkham City in anaglyphic 3D with technology compatible with all high definition TV sets and visible to players wearing 3D glasses available for the video game,” it continues. This bit’s expected, the last game had this too.
The game’s out October 21st.

Xbox… 3D? Is this the first 360 3D game?
colossalblue
no, there’s been a load. Black Ops was definitely 3D, for example. Microsoft just don’t make a big deal out of it.

That explains that then! Cheers Cb

anaglyphic 3D is the old style red/blue glasses, so are they saying the game has both options for stereoscopic 3D and anaglyphic 3D?…that’s how it reads anyway.

Anaglyph is the old two colour method, yes. They added it to Arkham Asylum in the GoTY pack, I believe.
It’s a nice little option for those that want to play around with it, since the game can handle it no problem, if it can do the stereoscopic 3D too.
