Sony have just announced Resistance: Burning Skies at their press conference. It’s a brand new Resistance, with a brand new timeline for the PlayStation Vita. The game is a first person shooter set in 1951, you play as Tom Riley, a fire fighter that wakes up in a research facility in 1951.
Featuring a cover system, the good old weapon wheel (which you can use the touchscreen to control) and an innovative way to throw grenades by touching the screen, the gameplay demo also showed some of the weapons available, including a melee axe, homing rockets that can be controlled with touch screen swiping, the carbine rifle and a new Chimeran cluster gun.
The game is developed by Nihilistic, who have worked closely with Insomniac to create this new Resistance experience. It looks good, too, and the innovative touch screen controls are marvellous.

sounds like no wifi was the only change from the 2000/3000
i think that would mean you couldn’t play multiplayer on it, other than games were you take turns on the same psp.
most multiplayer needs the wifi i think.

I’ve started playing through the old resistance games in the run up to R3’s release, currently about 1/2 way through fall of man and it’s just as good as I remember (:
What I wanna know about burning sky is whether there’s a button alternate to the alt fire etc, rather than having to touch the screen.
Klart
I’m pretty sure there will be. Sony won’t forget their “hardcore” audience.

Great, hopefully there will be button equivalents to those touch controls, like with the Vita Uncharted game.
