Need for Speed: The Run Hazards Video

Jason De Long has been caught on camera but the US PS Blog. He’s talking to Rey Gutierrez about Need for Speed: The Run and some of the game modes and hazards that will be attempting to put you off as you throw high powered cars along stretches of US roads.

The blog calls this video “200 racers, One Avalanche” but I think that sells the helicopter gunships and explosions a little short…

It looks quite like Hot Pursuit but with obvious enhancements. Lovely.

  1. Makes me want to play Hot Pursuit. I like all this snow in games, not quite sure why, just looks nice. This is the first news since E3 I’ve read which adds detail to the game as the E3 showing did not wow me like Hot Pursuit. I hope that those who ordered it for £24.99 from Amazon have a good game on their doorstep come launch day.

    • Got from HMV for the same price. Fingers crossed their price promise is worth anything

  4. looks really good… kinda looks like hot pursuit =) makes me want this games, almost just because of the snow parts of the game =)

    • That’s the thing that is bothering me.

      • I thought I’d read somewhere that they were playing down the quicktime events because pretty much everyone has commented they look awful. Could be wrong though

    • It seems like I’m the only person in the world who likes the look of the on foot bits.

      • Well see if it’s quicktime then ok but I just really don’t see the point in this. I just want cars and a chase (vehicles not on foot lol)

      • the running is not controlled by the player… he just runs and u press the buttons that are displayed… =)

      • I don’t recall anyone saying it’s controlled by the player ;)

      • It doesn’t bother me 1 bit, kinda curious as to how far they will take it .

      • I don’t dislike them, I just think they look slightly pointless. Its a video and you have to press triangle or whatever, looks dull.
