With the release of Dead Island rapidly approaching, Deep Silver has released the launch trailer. This is much more action orientated than that original trailer, but it does feature the same music. By listening to it I’m now incredibly depressed and need a hug.

I REALLY don’t like the look of those characters.
Wish they’d stuck with the family, would’ve loved to have played as the little girl.
If anybody’s played Siren Blood Curse, they’ll know how scary it can be to play a character like that in a zombie situation.

Yeah….no weapons as the girl. More scary was looking at yourself through their eyes, realising they were approaching you!!!
And fully agree about the characters. Such cheesy stereotypes make the game instantly look cheap and like it doesn’t take itself seriously. I’m often put off games if the lead character has a mohawk and a shit tribal tattoo on his shoulder. However, I have this on preorder regardless :p

It doesn’t capture the same mood as the debut trailer. Why couldn’t it be about the family trying to survive? I hope a virus won’t be the cause of the outbreak as it is starting to becoming a bit generic.

Ive started to lose interest in this game ever since i learnt that the story of the first trailer was purely made up on the spot for the trailer.
that said, i am pretty hyped for this game for just one reason.
COLOURS
it contains colour and beautiful environments in a genre that sticks with bleak and ugly styles, this game does a reverse.
of course, i should probably Finnish off Deus EX before i even think about getting this.
