GAME Deus Ex Pre Orders Not Lost In Redesign

We’ve been hearing reports that some people, waiting for their Deus Ex pre order, had been disappointed. With all of the GAME website downtime over the past week and the big new redesign, there were fears that the orders had been somehow lost.

There has been an issue with disappearing orders on the new website layout, which GAME has stated is simply a visual issue that they’re working on. However, we’ve received a statement from them that lets us know that this is not the case with the Deus Ex preorder problems. Neil Ashurst, Head of PR for GAME, told us:

We are aware that there were some issues for some customers in their delivery of Deus Ex, for which we can only apologise. Any affected customers can contact our customer services team for any assistance they require. This was not related to the changes to the GAME website at the end of last week

So, if you ordered Deus Ex from GAME and it still hasn’t arrived, contact their customer service team and hopefully you’ll get everything sorted.

  1. The whole website is a “visual issue”.

    • Yes, the new website looks poo. I thought I had the “big text” for the visually impaired option turned on.

      • apparently they are now using the best website engine that money can buy, if you think game.co.uk looks poo head over to gamestation.co.uk and let me tell ya that is a whole lot worse.

      • They are both terrible – not a shock seeing as Gamestation is owned by GAME.

      • true but gamestations website has been like this for longer than game, games actually looks better than gamestations. both do suck however, its hard to think a retailer that is based all around gaming cant do a simple website.

the console sections are rubbish and feature out of stock consoles. such a shame because at xmas i order quite a bit online but i just can nav those sites without getting a nosebleed.

    • I tried importing a copy to the United States from game.co.uk. They took my money ($65.65 American) from my debit and have not only failed to deliver… but have ignored 6 e-mails over the course of a week and a half. This article says they apologize and to contact their customer service… but they are flat out ignoring me. As far as I’m concerned they’re thieves.

  2. I stopped pre ordering from GAME, took over 2 weeks for my fallout NV collectors edition pre order.

  3. The more I read about this game, the better it sounds! I really want this game now, but I’m on a budget so I’m gonna have to wait till it goes cheep :(

  4. shame about the preorders but its an awesome game. maybe a little too short though, didnt take too long to complete

  5. here’s some cheery news about GAME. When I last looked the 3DS was selling with Zelda for £140. Considering Zelda about £30 that is like selling the console for £110! Luckily it was out of stock otherwise I would have bought one and I can’t even afford that at the moment.

  6. One major issue I am having with the website is that all the preorders I made a month ago (summing up to about 6 games) are not appearing anywhere on my “Track Orders” list. Kind of worried about it, to be honest.

  7. And there was me grumbling about the wait at midnight on release day for the game to get un-encrypted from the Steam pre-load system. I had to wait until 20 past midnight to play it!

  8. I don’t see the point of ordering from Game regardless if its for points, the design is even worse >_>

  9. Not delivering Deus Ex on time should be a capital offense, it’s just that good.

  10. Awful, I never order from game anyways, usually over charge don’t they?
