Dead Nation ‘Expanding’ On To The Road Of Devastation

Housemarque have announced the “Road Of Devastation” DLC for PS3 exclusive zombie masher, Dead Nation.

From the ashes of the apocalypse, an organization has worked in the shadows, tampering with the human gene, modifying and improving upon it to create the perfect soldier – the ultimate zombie killing machine – you!

Continuing from the events where the original game left off (or, is it actually the other way around…), you’ll find Road of Devastation will put your skills to the ultimate test.

The DLC will start with the player waking up in a laboratory, the exit of which offers three different paths. The DLC will also feature new weapons, enemies and tools.

Housemarque also took the opportunity to announce that over 11,700,000,000 zombies have been killed, that’s more than 1.5 times greater than the current population of the world.

  1. Awesome!!! Only a couple of trophies away from my Dead Nation Platinum. And yes, Romero would be proud! :)

  2. Definitely getting this! Loved Dead Nation, did about 5 playthroughs in the end with several TSA’ers (Tef, DJ-Katy, Yogh Wayne, Ymam), love it on co-op. This is awesome news :D

  3. Also, a great business move since a lot of people will now own (and hopefully apprecaite) it since it was free with the Welcome Back pack. I’d still happily pay £10 for it now

    • I was thinking exactly this. I got it in he welcome back deal. Loved it and couldn’t believe I hadn’t looked in to it before. Still haven’t finished Dead Nation, though, but the DLC does appeal to me.

      • I would think there was no DLC planned prior to the welcome back pack, but I could be wrong. I am sure there were a lot of others who originally overlooked it then loved it! :)

      • Yep, me too, great fun game!

  4. THis is awesome news, loved the game until it became free for the whole hack thing. Every time me and my friend tried to play it just kicked us out, it that fixed now?

    • Yes, its fine now. Me and Youles play it regularly

      • Yes we do! So close to the Platinum!!

  5. *cough*hoveroverpicture*cough*

    • Haha

    • Tuff, if that caption is your doing, I’m surprised it wasn’t more along the lines of “Little did he suspect, Tuffcub is lurking behind him in the shadows waiting for the perfect moment to enter from behind”!

    • In what context was “bloody” being used? And you should get that cough seen to

    • You spelt lens (singular of lenses) wrong. :P

      • I’m horribly jet lagged, in fact im leaving my office now to go home to bed. Leave me alone *cries*

  6. Yes, most excellent news! Bought the game long before the Welcome Back pack, and I’m glad I gave them my money. Will do so again when the DLC arrives!

    • I reckon they probably got a fair whack of money from Sony for giving their game away as a part of the welcome pack too though. I picked it up from the welcome back pack and haven’t even bothered to play it yet (saving it to play through co-op with my bro if we ever get a gaming session together)

  7. Nice one. I’ll be getting this. Really enjoying the game.

  8. Awesome news, I love Dead Nation :) The last mission of the original game on ‘morbid’ difficulty already put my skills (and patience) to the ultimate test. What have they planned for this expansion then…?

  9. Fantastic news, i enjoyed the game and treasure the Tshirt i won here on TSA! :)

  10. Like many I got this in the Welcome Back package, wasn’t terribly impressed though I should probably go back and give it another try. Might be awhile before I’m over Deus Ex though, and I still haven’t even started infamous…
