Neversoft Working On FPS Title

It has emerged that ex-Guitar Hero developer, Neversoft, has ditched the plastic instruments and instead is working on a new first-person shooter game.

Numerous job listings posted on the developer’s own hiring page for network programmers and multiplayer level designers confirm that the team are working on a FPS title.

Neversoft, owned by Activision-Blizzard, has fallen on hard times recently with both the Tony Hawk’s and Guitar Hero series being put on hiatus. Could Neversoft be drafted into working on the Call of Duty series?

perhaps they will make plastic guns to go with the game? lol

  2. I was just thinking that we need another FPS this morning. How weird.

    • See what you’ve done? -.- :P

  3. Boring………

  4. activision should rebrand fpsivision is more of a sutable title for the compamy these days lol

  5. Enjoyed Tony Hawk in the early days, and hated GH. Loved Skate and love Rockband so EA has won me over. With activision behind them it could be decent

  6. Probably gonna be some peripheral-based FPS.

  7. FPS involving button mashing tony hawk style..? That would be… interesting?

  8. Don’t Activison already have a FPS game? I believe it is a little game called Call Of Duty. It is not well known. :p

I wonder if they are starting to worry that COD may not sell billions in a few years and thus are trying to build a new franchise to rival COD? Or if they are bored and doing it for craps and giggles.

  9. Great. Cause I was just telling a friend the other day that we needed more first-person shooters. I’m sure the studio responsible for killing the music genre and ruining Tony Hawk’s name will have a lot to offer.
