“Shhh…I’ve got a little something special for you” tweets Kevin Butler as he posts the link to the video below. Entitled ‘Long Live Play’, it shows two soldiers parachuting into a forest and then stopping by a tavern, hosted by a buxom lady with a penchant for sparkly things stolen from LittleBigPlanet.
Someone in the comments box on YouTube has suggested this is a trailer for Twisted Metal as Sweet Tooth’s Ice cream van is visible at the 23 second mark, but that doesn’t explain the military theme, the rack of guns (allegedly from Final Fantasy and Ratchet & Clank) or the MK II from Metal Gear Solid that whizzes off screen.
Long Live Play is the name of a campaign started at the end of last month by Sony America, so the video could refer to that rather than a specific game. It’s certainly weird enough to be a Sony advert.

Wow this is very interesting. All kinds of bits and pieces from different franchises for the Playstation. The ones I know about are Metal Gear Solid, Twisted Metal, Gears of War and I can definitely hear the Resistance siren close to where they exit the woods

Either way it looks like a PS+ feature (hence the coins). I was thinking centralised game lobbies but the trailer features singleplayer games as well. Perhaps full game installs or something like that?

I bet it’s Home related. They wouldn’t tease an advertising campaign and they have already stated how Home will soon be getting some large changes. I find it funny how some people though think this might be a teaser to a Super Smash Bros. type game though, i guess we will have to wait and see…

I doubt its a video for a new (unreleased) game, its probably just a teaser for a long list of Long Live Play advertising for the PS3.
especially consider this advert includes a reference to a multi platform game (FF13) so it have to be under the Play umbrella rather then the Exclusive one
