Launching in Japan on December 17th, Tecmo KOEI’s first Vita instalment in the flagship series will include all 62 characters featured in Dyansty Warriors 7 as well as the three newest additions from DW7XL (Pang De, Guo Jia, and Wang Yi.)
Dynasty Warriors NEXT will follow the conventional DW template, offering a story-driven campaign based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms saga and delivering huge scale battles. This time around the game will also be making use of the Vita tech, including touch controls, and gyro-enabled mini games.
NEXT will also feature a couple of online modes, one pitting players head-to-head as they contest over provinces (details have yet to be fully verified,) the other allowing four-player co-op.

4 player co-op will be a nice touch. Hope it is a mix of couch and online. That could really breathe some life into a stale franchise. I love DW but it is the same game every time. These are the types of features they need to focus on. Not just adding more characters.
