Skyrim Map & Manual Have Both Been Leaked

More details for Skyrim have appeared on the net.

Both the Skyrim Map and the Game Manual have  appeared online. Now, after looking, there are no story spoilers but if you want to go into the game without knowing town names and other details click away now.

The map contains the names of 9 large towns and cities which are Winterhold, Dawnstar, Windhelm, Morthal, Solitude, Riften, Falkreath, Markarth and Whiterun.

The manual was uploaded by an anonymous person on an anonymous account on imgur.

Possibly the most interesting thing to emerge from the manual is the section on Friends/Hirelings. Friends aren’t a new addition but hirelings certainly are. These characters can be hired (hence the name) by you in taverns around Skyrim to fight for you. Each hireling will have their own combat speciality and can be ordered about by you. They can also carry inventory items.

  1. Love the sound of hirelings, used to love hiring mercenaries and kitting them out with my second best kit (the best was for me of course) in the old Diablo games. Everything about this game is screaming at me to get it so far.

  2. Can Not Wait <=== That is all.

  3. “have been appeared”. Sorry I’m an English teacher and just in from work ;-)

    • How did I miss that? Hooray for the edit button!

  4. This is right up there on my Christmas wish list.

  5. I was expecting to see “Mordor” on the map just for a laugh…

    • One does not simply fight dragons in Mordor.

      • No, but one does the Gandalf whilst fighting Dragons. ;)

  6. On the way to Markarth new saga begins…

  7. The manual looks good and they have made as good as possible, which a lot of manuals nowadays seem to lack. ME2’s PS3 manual is a joke, it doesn’t even quaify as a manual as it tells the player naff all. You have to use the ingame manaul.

I plan on reading the manual for Skyrim whilst the game is either installing or booting up. :) And the map seems to be the same size as Oblivion’s map. Although i don’t like the white background of the manual but i’m not going to complain. :)

  8. Pre ordered this a couple months back…and it’s by far my most anticipated game of 2011.

  9. hireling, cool, i love ordering people about.
    >_>
    ahem.
i mean, it’ll be nice to have some company on my journey.
    yeah, that sounds better. ^_^

    out on 11.11.11.
this is gonna be a long month.

so long as that fan from oblivion isn’t in the game.
    he was sooo annoying.
but then he died and all was well with the world again.

  10. Anyone else think the new items and spells menus look awesome?
