Dark Souls is hard, really hard. So, I won’t be surprised if you’re shouting shenanigans at the screen right now.
However, the headline doesn’t lie. Someone beat Dark Souls in 1 hour 26 minutes and 28 seconds. Youtube user, SexyShoiko, has uploaded the complete speed run on his Youtube Channel. The first part is below.
Seriously, this guy has some major skills and I’d be surprised if any one can beat that. Peter has been playing through Dark Souls and you can read his playthrough diary here.

I’ve just watched this and he gets further in one 12 minute YouTube video than what I did in the 5 days that I rented it. I was upset when I played this because I was looking forward to it having played demons souls I knew what to expect but this just takes hard to a new level don’t get me wrong I love a challenge but they made this game thinking every one is a gaming god and can do games like this in their sleep I really don’t see why they made it so hard why not put a normal level so people can enjoy the story and do the game and not throw their pad as much and swear and shout at the t.v. difficulty like this must affect sales surely

Sales wise Dark Souls is doing well. It’s been successful precisely because of how demanding it is instead of holding your hand like so many games do. For me games like Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls are a bit of a throwback to the likes of Ghouls and Ghosts. Games that were tough to crack but fun to master.

I love them both for exactly this reason.
I have just taken down the Moonlight Butterfly boss and unsure where to go next, got the key from the Capra Demon so guessing there might be the best bet…
Need to figure out a way to kill them big stone giant dudes in the forest too. Been avoiding them up to now, get them down to a 1/3 of their hp and they cast a spell on me that stops me moving…oh and they hit like a frikking truck! :D

I compared Dark Souls to Ghosts and Goblins on the Official EU PS forums and was greeted with torches and pitchforks for making the comparison. Bloody youngsters and their things.

ha you should see me do borderlands :) okay I cant finish the game in 90 minutes (nobody can) but I can beat Bone Head in about 90 minutes :)

I love Speed runs I personally completed Resident Evil 3 in 1hr 50mins with an A Raning!
(Played and completed 8 times just learn the route and weakness on boss fights and ammo etc…)
This is just wow far more difficulty than Resident Evil series!
