If you were hoping to pick up some Rapture based delights with your swanky new PS Vita in February you are going to be disappointed. Ken Levine has talked to Joystiq, saying “We’re still sort of in the paper design stage.”
Irrational Games may outsource the project and have spoken to some potential partners. Although they have met some “extraordinary people” it was “hard to find the right partners or the right people to hire.”
Let’s hope BioShock Vita moves into production quickly.

Sounds cool, a game is a game, can’t expect them all to be release titles.. There’s plenty of those anyways!

Well I guess their main focus right now is to finish Bioshock:Infinite. So when that’s released I think the Bioshock vita will start get into production.

Hmm, i wonder if it will be a port of Bioshock 1 or 2 or if it is a new game altogether?
I rather have them focus on Bioshock infite then work on two games at once. :)
Actually, i hope it will be set just before the civil war as a prewar rapture could be interesting to see.

You should read the book. It explains all about what happens before the first game.

It’s a new game altogether, but that’s all we know for now.
I’d love a portable version of the original though.

LA Noire style gameplay with crime scene investigating plasmids set in a pre-war Rapture working for Ryan or Fontaine! You heard it here first. It just came out of a dusty corner of my mind but I think it might be sweet :)

Spending a long time in planning rather than rushing into development can be a good thing.
