Batman Takes Top Slot In UK Charts

We voted Batman a big fat 10/10, and it looks like you lot agree – the game has topped the UK charts, pushing FIFA down in to second place.  Staying with the footy theme, SEGA’s Football Manager 2012 (review soon) appeared in third place, with the rest of the chart looking nice and fresh too.

Apart from Mario Kart Wii, which is one hell of an evergreen title for Nintendo.

Arkham City actually made the UK’s 4th strongest launch of the year so far after FIFA, Gears 3 and L.A. Noire so Sports Interactive’s sublime (and PC only) football management sim has really made quite an achievement charting that highly.

  1. Batman: Arkham City (Warner)
  2. FIFA 12 (EA)
  3. Football Manager 2012 (Sega)
  4. Forza Motorsport 4 (Microsoft)
  5. Just Dance 3 (Ubisoft)
  6. The Sims 3: Pets (EA)
  7. PES 2012 (Konami)
  8. Rage (Bethesda)
  9. Zumba Fitness (505 Games)
  10. Gears of War 3 (Microsoft)
  11. Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure (Activision)
  12. F1 2011 (Codemasters)
  13. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo)
  14. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (Disney)
  15. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Square Enix)
  16. Dead Island (Koch Media)
  17. Driver: San Francisco (Ubisoft)
  18. Dark Souls (Namco Bandai)
  19. Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge (Alternative)
  20. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record (Capcom)

If anyone’s got all twenty of these games take a picture of yourself holding them all in one hand and we’ll send you a TSA badge.  Or some kind of straight jacket.

  1. No love for Dance Central 2? :( I picked up a copy of this for my Wife on Saturday as an early xmas pressie. Got a little carried away while I was out however and came home with DC2, Forza 4, 360 steering wheel and Batman Arkham City… not bad for £100 on the nose lol :D

    • Dance Central 2 came in at 40. The new Ratchet and Clank was 24th too

      • 40? Damn, I know there are a lot of new releases on the market at the moment but I would have expected better seeing as its one of the few decent Kinect games.

  2. And Ratchet & Clank is nowhere to be seen. I’m convinced it’s either not out or nobody bought it at all.

    • I wan’t to get it and didn’t even realise it was out yet :P

    • Too many Sony exclusives at the moment. Even I won’t be picking this up til Xmas.

    • I only realised it was out as I saw someone on my friends list playing it.

      True story.

    • I wasn’t going to get it, don’t know why, but it just doesn’t look nearly as good as R&C games usually are…

  3. Well done to Batman. I feel that I have made some bad purchases in the last two months. That being Dead Island and getting Fallout 3. Should have kept my money and got B:AC and Fifa :L

    • What did you find wrong with Fallout 3 (bugs & glitches aside of course)?

I thought i recalled you saying you enjoyed New Vegas, so i would have thought that Fallout 3 would have been right up your street. Case in point, i platinumed Fallout 3 & thought it was a brilliant game, but i can’t seem to drag myself back to New Vegas.

    • That’s a shame, I adored Fallout 3… Personally I just loved how I could be a total asshole to everyone with no consequences.

    • There’s nothing wrong with it, I love it, it’s fantastic. But I think I could have spared the extra £12 and put it towards something like B:AC or BF3. As for Dead Island, it just hasn’t appealed to me.

      • Ah, fair enough then!

        Although Fallout>FIFA (IMO of course)

      • Im not the biggest FIFA fan but from what I’ve played of 12 it’s good. Fallout is well worth every penny if not more. Awesome games (3 and new Vegas)

  4. Batman: Arkham City deserves top spot and Warner Brothers (grrr…. nearly got me all nervous and s*** over the DLC codes of Catwoman and a lot of angry fans with pitchforks too!
Getting Ratchat and Clank Christmas ;)

  5. Well done Batman, I look forward to it. Shame I still have 6 weeks left till the end of term to play any games. Seriously, did all the best releases have to be when I moved out..
