Obviously paying attention to TSA’s Cheap PC Gaming article, Sony has announced that PS3 owners who redeem their online pass codes for Saints Row: The Third within the next 90 days will receive a digital copy of Saints Row 2 for free.
So what’s the catch? Well so far this offer applies to the United States, Canada, and Mexico only.

It does sound like it from this announcement, but this is feeling more like a cover-up tactic to me – Especially as the exclusive game mode in SR3 was reported to use the ‘signature weapon’, which makes me think that it was something different.

Should be extended to europe but I think it’s a pretty cool freebie. It’s a million miles away from the most polished game ever but it is a lot of fun.
