Kinect has now sold ten million units, but eight million were sold in the first two months, a pattern that Ubisoft has described as “not healthy”.
Sony’s Move peripheral has seen steady sales since launch and according to Industry Gamers has now reached nine million units, just a million short of Kinect.
Both motion control devices will be pushed over the Christmas period but will Sony come out on top?

I used it for a little while in Resistance 3, and with a bit of tweaking it was really quite good! I even took it online and kicked butt for a while.
Still can’t possibly match the instant gratification most gamers will get from using a DS3…

10 million Kinect sold don’t mean that 10 million Xbox 360 consoles were sold at the same time? The whole point of Kinect & MOVE is to sell more game consoles & i don’t think neither did. I hate them both but i might get a MOVE(pack)just to up SONY’s sales of them so it over takes Kinect lol

Unfortunately mine is also gathering dust, although hopefully I will try some two player House of the Dead over Christmas. I just couldn’t get it right for Killzone or Resistance, it was too easy to switch back to the dualshock.

I’ve got 4 Move sticks & 2 Navis, I alone am 6 (7 if you count the camera) of that number, most people would have a minimum of a couple of components, so I’m not sure what these figures show in comparison to Kinect where 1 sale = 1 sale, but with Move 2, 3, 4 or even more might still only equal 1 sale.
Still, good news for those that work at Sony even if it’s a bit pointless for the rest of us.
Now, about some decent Move exclusive games please

That’s what it comes down to. Pathetic support from Sony and I’d actually like to have a good few reasons to pick one up but there’s very little incentive to buy into Move and it’s been over a year for God’s sake. :-\

I bought it! and agree it’s excellent, a highly recommended game, especially if you have a move controller that is collecting dust so to speak!
Also the game is pretty cheap, I think I paid £14.99 at launch so you can probably get this even cheaper now :)

Surprised to see this as they hasn’t been a great game for move yet. I bought my start pack on launch and only have one move required game. Still got two controllers. Use a dualshock for killzone 3 and the like. Hopefully there will be an increase if sorcery every comes out.
