Eurogamer is reporting that Fumito Ueda, the creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian, has left Sony and is currently working on Team Ico’s latest game in a freelance role.
Japanese sources are claiming that this is the reason behind The Last Guardian being pushed from 2011 to 2012. Apparently Fumito Ueda will be embarking on personal projects after The Last Guardian is completed.
Sony has said that it does not comment on rumour and speculation.

Creative geniuses are notoriously fickle, at least he still appears have both ears intact.
