Sony has sent out an estimate of the number of PlayStation consoles sold worldwide between November 18th and December 31st 2011.
The Vita contributed 0.5m towards the total number, with the PS3 exceeding 3.9m. The PlayStation Move sold 1.7m, whilst the good old PSP still managed to chalk up a respectable 1.6m.
Oh, and the PS2 is still going, selling 0.5m. A good set of figures for Sony.

It(PS3)sold 3.9m from ‘November 18th to December 31st 2011’? That is good:P I thought the PS3 was DOOOOOOOOOMED once LOL;) Now if SONY could do a $199 PS3 in the US in say March this year i am sure sales would rocket-up in the US:P

Are there still new PS2 games being released? Anything decent, or is it shovelware family games?

Just those and fifa I think are being released now, but it has more brilliant games out than the PS3 and 360 combined.
