Tecmo KOEI has announced that hack n’ slash cross-over sequel, Warriors Orochi 3, will be launching in the UK on March 30th for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Featuring over 120 unique playable characters, each with their own weapons and development trees, it’s set to be the ultimate experience for fans of the franchise.
Rosters from the most recent games in the Warriors brand (DW7, SW3) have been combined with a number of returning special characters from previous Orochi games as well as cameos from the likes of Achilles (Warriors: Legends of Troy,) Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden,) Joan of Arc (Bladestorm,) and Nemea (Trinity.)
In terms of gameplay there won’t be any radical changes to the formula, WO3 promoting online play and deep character customisation, enhanced by the weapon “Fusion” system.
TK community manager, Chin Soon Sun, has recently confirmed that the UK version of Warriors Orochi 3 will not feature English audio. Instead the game will include Japanese voice overs with English subs.
We’ll hopefully have a review in the works leading up to the game’s launch in a couple of months.
