Ummmm… to be honest, I’m really not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand part of me thinks it has the potential to be awesome, on the other hand part of me thinks it’s going to ruin the Single Player experience if it’s shoehorned in. It’ll be interesting to see what they do, anyway.

I actually think it could work really well, if implemented right. With 2 or more people you could plan larger scale assassinations (2-4 takedowns at the same time or chase someone into a trap).
I’d try it if it had local coop but in this case I’ll probably just skip the feature anyways unless my brother actually buys a second copy for himself.

i think it would do good if it was baised around sending out your trainee assasins on joint missions i think that could work

It would be awesome if a game came out where multiplayer was about cooperative exploration rather than killing someone else, as its been done to death in EVERY game.
I would love to just explore the worlds of Assassin’s Creed, Tomb Raider, Uncharted, etc. with another person where the objective isnt to kill them……

Trying to think how this could work now :) Im hoping the MP is different from the last two. IMO the MP on Brotherhood was awful and the beta for revelations was ok.

Only online? This does nothing to make me interested, it is just a further sign of Ubisoft stuffing the game with superfluous add-ons to distract from the tired, overused core gameplay.

I get the impression this could be an Uncharted-esque co-op. Seperate missions that, like Kerash said above, would require planning and tactical knowledge to lure your target for a kill. Could be quite interesting if done correctly, but please don’t put co-op anywhere near the single player.
Origami Killer
can you just imagine having one idiot in your team which keeps ruining the stealth (like in MP)? This worries me…
MICKY17
Very true. I call them the COD players. Very annoying seeing people just run round the map simply getting cheap kills as opposed to trying to get high scoring kills. With regards to co-op though, hopefully they have an option to kick players.
The Lone Steven
If implented correctly, i can see Co-op being a decent addition. For example, the other player controls Conner’s friend and helps Conner to assainate someone. But if it’s a generic co-op that has been shoehorned in then i wouldn’t touch it with a hidden blade.
I won’t be touching the MP as i’m a SP gamer mainly and i found the mp of AC:B to be boring at best. :-/ I really hope guns will be very slow to load but powerful so that noone can try to snipe you from a hidden location.

never liked the multiplayer in the previous games, maybe co-op would be better though, not that it matters to me, they’ll have their online pass and i wont buy it new so i’ll never play the multiplayer.
Vaile23
although the AC multiplayer is original, i think they’re detracting from the main game. AC I and II were great IMO but i think they took their eyes off the ball by sticking MP in.
why does every brilliant single player game HAVE to have MP?!
Forrest_01
Put simply, to keep people playing the game long after they are done with the story.

Online co-op could be an interesting feature, as others have said though, more information is required before I make up my mind if it’s a deciding factor in me purchasing day one Or waiting for a price drop like I’ve done with all AC titles so far.

Hopefully this will be like Saints Row: The Third Co-op. I played through that game twice, once on my own, and once with a friend. So much fun!
Jakster123x
Bout time we got some co-op in AC! :)
