Sony Announces New Games For PS Vita: Phantasy Star Online, Super Robot Wars And More

The Japanese division of SCE have announced several new titles in their terribly excitingly titled Welcome! PlayStation Vita Game Heaven! web thing.

While most expected the games to be Japanese-centric, there’s a few things in there that our readers might well be interested in – Phantasy Star Online 2, Super Robot Wars, Persona 4 and MGS HD.

Phantasy Star Online 2 includes Cross Play with the PC version, which could be absolutely huge – we’re huge fans of the Phantasy Star online games.  Monster Hunter what, indeed.

Metal Gear Solid HD is out at the end of June, too.

  2. I’ve just bought the PS3 MGSHD collection so i doubt i’ll buy it again for Vita unless it’s really cheap (unlikely). I’m disappointed not to see a FPS or decent racing game among those so hopefully SCEE or SCEA have something up their sleeve.

    • its just from Japan so i wouldn’t expect fps and racers.

    • E3 will be amazing for Playstation fans PS3 news Vita news maybe even a peak at the PS4.

  4. Wonder how long it’ll be before Phantasy Star Online 2 is confirmed for anywhere outside of Japan? Don’t think it has been yet, and it’s been announced for PC for a while!

    • The only thing that worries me is that it’s one of the ‘Battle’ series, which haven’t all been that good. Hopefully this paves the way for another of the Macross ‘X’ Frontier games tho….

  7. MGS HD a definite for me, Phantasy Star depends on release date. And what was the guy wearing in that video, a purple fur suit! WTF!

  8. i was hoping for a ps3 version of PSO II, i loved the first one and Phantasy Star universe was pretty damn fun, especially as they finally updated the gameplay to allow targeting and camera control.

    • I’m sure it will come to the PS3.
