Masses Affect Mass Effect 3 Ending?

Some people are getting rather upset over the ending of Mass Effect 3, which has lead to the co-founder of BioWare, Dr. Ray Muzyka, writing a rather lengthy letter to fans.

“Building on their research,” he says, “Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey.”

“You’ll hear more on this in April,” he adds.

“We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received.”

“This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue.”

Rather vague but it seems to indicate that the team might be pursuing some DLC to accompany the ending.  Some outlets are reporting that this means there’s going to be a brand new ending – this, as far as we know, won’t be the case.

  1. Well this certainly fits my theory about the ending which seemed more a to be continued similar to FFXIII-2 than an actual conclusion, maybe Squareenix and Bioware should team up and have some kind of crossover thing going on!! But as if that would happen…….

    • Ugh. Square’s ending was far worse. Everything about that was wrong -.-

      • It made sense tho! But was clear they planned to do DLC before it shipped.

    • Point taken. It’s still cruel though, them ruining it all in a matter of a few minutes. Leaving more questions than answers :(

  2. My suspicions that the ending weren’t fully completed appear to be confirmed.

  3. All this hoo-ha over the ending is putting me off. I’m beginning to think that maybe I should just round my Mass Effect experience with ME2.

    • That’s like only watching the first Matrix movie. I mean, an absolutely perfect way to do it.

    • Don’t. Regardless of the endings, Mass Effect 3 is one of the best games I’ve ever played. The endings will be dealt with in due time.

      • The ending wasn’t even a big deal, I was happy with it all the way through, about to finish my 2nd play through now.

  4. Boo- fucking- hoo.
