Capcom has released a statement confirming that Yoshinori Ono, producer of the Street Fighter games, has been hospitalised following the Asian leg of the Street Fighter X Tekken promotional tour.
Capcom’s Japanese Blog posted the following:
“I would like to bring something else to everyone’s attention. Shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia, Ono-san’s physical condition rapidly and heavily deteriorated and he had to be taken to the hospital.
Because of his hospital tenure he will not be performing work-related affairs for a while. Ono’s well-being is very important to us, and we wish for his steady recovery.”
Nothing else has currently been released about Mr Ono’s status but we wish him the speediest of recoveries.

Update: Katsuhiro Harada, Chief Producer of the Tekken series, has just tweeted saying Yoshinori Ono is out of hospital.
Not hospital now. I talked with him. He says: “I’m OK”. But He doesn’t seem to be “OK”, in my opinion RT@Kuro_snowOno is in the hospital:(
