In case you were still in any doubt, tonight’s ‘big reveal’ is for Black Ops 2, which has just been officially confirmed via the opening of the main website for the game.
There’s not much there yet apart from some key art and a notification that tonight’s the night for the big show, but along with the recently leaked screens we’re hoping for a few surprises tonight.
From the site you can gather that Los Angeles will be a location, it’s clearly ‘near future’ and there’s a glimpse of the box art too, if that’s your thing.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War,” says the site, “where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.”

I just hope this game isn’t plagued with all the issues from the first one. Black Ops was a coded mess on the PS3.

I think it was an XBOX port that’s why. If BO2 is the a port, i won’t be buying it.

ALL CODs for PC and PS3 are ports from the 360. IW just happen to do a better job at porting. Not as good as the old IW though.

I’m not going to get that excited either. I’ve managed without MW3 on my play list, so Black Ops 2 will need to be pretty special to bring me back to a COD game.

Not a huge COD fan these days – rock solid gameplay but lacking in originality. That said I actually really enjoyed Black Ops thanks to its storyline and extra modes (Dead Ops/Zombies) so I may find myself picking this up.

Also, is anyone else getting a ‘Your IP is blocked’ on the Black Ops 2 pages of the website? Is it their idea of clever marketing or do Activision not like Vodafone Ireland?
