The title of EA’s next Need For Speed has been revealed, and it’s another case of the publisher going back over past games in the series – this time it’s Most Wanted, last used in 2005.
According to rumours, the game is due out in November and there’s going to be a trailer and an official website kicking off soon, with full reveals at E3 in a few days. Police will (naturally) return, as will – hopefully – the wonderful open road gameplay that I loved so much about the first game.
Oh, and Razor.
The same source also points to Dead Space 3 gracing the front covers of a few magazines next month, so expect E3 to spill the details on that one too.

I loved the first one. I spent so much time playing it. If they can recreate/improve the handling, car upgrading and customisation, then I would definitely be buying this game.

Damn you EA :(

I wish they would do a new Underground game instead. The NFS series all went down hill for me from Most Wanted. Still, this could be good.

I would have preferred NFS underground 3, underground 2 was my favorite NFS game (In fact my first NFS game ever).
NFS has been flat-lining for a while so hopefully Criterion can bring it back to life.

The old NFS games were great, and a new Most Wanted game by Criterion would obviously be good but i really miss Burnout and want it on my Vita :(
stueeeee
Just downloaded Most Wanted the other day for 7.99. Won’t mind buying this though if it’s as good, with the smashing through roadblocks.

Not a fan of that video. The acting was shocking.
‘I want everyone.’
‘Everyone?’
‘EVERYONE!!’
Overact much?

If you can get past the soap opera acting, I think we’ll have a winner with this game. Most wanted was originally a great game and with Criterion at the helm on this, it should be a recipe for success!

The problem with later games is that the customization options are limited and the open world gameplay would be a bit confusing. Although UG2 was annoying, Most Wanted’s world and Carbon was decent, just the customization was scaled down perhaps.

I hope that it leans a little on the Underground series for customisation options, rather than the more recent Hot Pursuit, which was a bit limited.
I’d also love to see some tuning options thrown in as well, but that’s just the sim racer in me and this is arcade after all, so erm….move on lol.

the original is still one of my favourite games in the MFS series.
it was a pure racing game then without all the gimmicks.
