Nintendo have went into further detail about some of their upcoming 3DS games, though there’s a dedicated event tomorrow evening where they will show them off fully.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS was shown, though, and it’s looking rather good. It’s said to be a different experience from the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. U, however, with a heavy focus on collecting coins. Mario can even collect a golden flower – turning him solid gold – and turn other things in to coins. The game will release on August 19th.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star was also shown, which is in a shoebox-like 3DS world that’s “plastered with stickers” to be collected. These stickers can be collected and used in turn-based combat, or even to progress through the levels – it looks like a really cool system.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 got some more information, too; there will be an even bigger focus on hunting ghosts and even new types of ghosts, which you’ll need different strategies for. Both Paper Mario and Luigi’s Mansion are to be released “this holiday season”, though no firm date has been set for either
They also teased some third party games, but didn’t confirm any new information: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, Scribblenauts Unlimited for 3DS, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance all got snippets of gameplay and Lego City Undercover for 3DS was announced, along with the Wii U version.

Surely you mean “have gone into further detail”?
Looking forward to new 2d mario as liked mario 3d land but preferred new smb. Also luigis mansion could be good too. To be honest I’ve found E3 to be bit of a damp squib so far this year.
