Theresa May Wants To Know When You Played Killzone 3

The UK Government have set out plans to monitor Internet traffic and keep a record of what we’ve all been up to for twelve months.

A draft version of  the Communications Bill will be published shortly and is expected to show that the Government wish to record the use of social network sites, webmail, voice calls over the Internet and… gaming.

Bernard Hogan-Howem, the Metropolitan Police commissioner said ‘Put simply, the police need access to this information to keep up with the criminals who bring so much harm to victims and our society.’

Officers would not need a warrant to access the originator, recipient and location of the communication but would need to apply to the courts to access the contents of a message.

  1. Feel free. All you will learn is that my kill/death ratio is not very good

  2. Such a headline.

  3. and im sure this data will be held safely and will never get leaked.

    • A couple year down the line and the info will probably be sold off to the highest bidder!

  4. I got mixed up with Teresa May (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teresa_May) and was disappointed when I saw the picture in the article.

    • Erm yeah – Definitely not the same! :S

    • Easy mistake to make. Here’s how I tell the difference – one of them you want to f**k, the other you really don’t but you get f**ked by her anyway… and not even in the pleasurable sense.

  5. Which breaches the human rights act as we all have a right to privacy and this takes our privacy and wipes it’s arse with it! I am willing to bet that some incompent person will leave details on a laptop and leave said laptop on a train. And councils will abuse it to spy on people who have put too much rubbish in the general waste bag. >:( Tories are not getting my vote at the next election. I’ll rather see a monkey get into power then these lot again.

Oh and i think Anon may hack a few government sites as they usually do whenever things like these are announced.

  6. :O Watch Dogs!! Its happening!!!!

  7. Any criminal stupid enough to conduct criminal activity in a non anonymous fashoin on the net, is more than likely going to be caught through some other means, also as a result of their stupidity…….so doing this is useless, it only serves to make people more aware of how to circumvent tracking measures such as this.

  8. doing this will have the opposite result that they were looking for.

  9. Despite numerous issues with this, I have one question; Why do they need to know when and what game we were playing, what could they possibly gain by collecting this info?

    • They think terrorists are arranging plots via chatrooms.

      • Will make people think twice before shouting plant the bomb down the headset :)

    • Dont you know? The Paedophiles are out to get us!!! TERRORISTS PLAY CALL OF DUTY!!!

      WOOOOOO SCARY SCARY.

  10. This is ridiculous. I honestly dont know what else to say other than that.
