Picked up on Twitter, the ultimate thatgamecompany compilation will also feature soundtracks from all three games, a PlayStation Plus membership, some minigames and documentaries.
It’s not clear what the minigames are, but the developers have already moved on from Journey so it’s unlikely to be any new content for their games. It’s more likely to be minis games, but we’ll see.
Regardless, this is all groovy – more Journey is always good.

Did not like that ad, cover or whatever that is.
I think headline should be FLOWER
and below:
Also Includes: flOw and Journey
Nauraph
I disagree. =P
I think it should say: Journey and Flower.
Also includes fl0w. ;)
fs
I don’t see why it couldn’t have all three in equal harmony.

Isn’t the main plot of the trilogy a big three-way war between micro-organisms, whirlwinds of flower petals and really long scarves? It’s really quite 1984, with each of them in a kind of police state (regulating scarf length? I mean really!), and lots of shifting alliances and subversive mind control, and so on.
Epic trilogy.

Wonder if the Minis will be exclusive to this game content or wether they will be released to the Store.
Youles
It’s not really a Journey Collector’s Edition – it’s not like the Soundtrack will even be a CD, I should imagine it’s just a download. This is just a thatgamecompany collection.
I prefer physical media and loved Journey but I think I’ll be isolated from this purchase sadly, since the PS+ membership (which I already have) will no doubt bump the price right up.
fs
Yeah I think i’m in the same boat. I might be swayed by these Mini’s however. If they look decent and are exclusive to the collection then i’ll buy it probably. I won’t bother if I can just get them from the store.
Youles
This just seems more like a Sony directive, possibly milking TGC’s exclusivity before they release anything multiformat; and giving it Journey’s Collectors Edition title as it’s the most successful game of the three; and that they are giving away PS+; and that some of the content will no doubt be digital despite you paying for a disc version (although I could be wrong about that). I’d be more interested in an actual Journey Collectors Edition with it’s own art cards, a CD and sleeve/nice packaging.
As you say, the minis will be interesting!

The PS+ membership will most likely add months on to your existing subscription.
Youles
Good point, that wouldn’t be so bad.

I’m already a plus-subscriber but if this membership adds months to an existing one it’s great!

Awesome, fl0w soundtrack is something i’ve wanted for ages but it’s only on the US store.
Lymmusic
I hear this is US only though, so wouldnt expect too much. Ah the wonders of the global village, and being able to see over the neighbour’s fence at their nicer bigger garden and their massive tv…
bunimomike
I’d love to see this over in the EU. Also, is this a physical item or all download stuff? Sorry for asking a potentially daft question.
Peter Chapman
I don’t think it’s been officially announced yet (just leaked by Sony’s partners!) so nobody is sure of the details. It would be really cool if it was all physical, with a disc containing the games and a CD for each of the soundtracks but I doubt they’d do that, unfortunately.
bunimomike
I don’t really mind as I’m not a “it must be in physical form or I start killing kittens” sort of person anyway. Still… I’m very tempted to get it.
cc_star
Is this essentially buy PS+ on a disc & get 3 great games included, but using the Journey brand as the conduit to get PS+ in more people’s houses?
Assuming it’s retail, of course.
shields_t
Yeah that’s how I saw it, sounds like a good idea, they should push it more especially given the recent additions to PS+
